Candle Safety

Candle Safety – The Do’s and Dont’s, here are a few tips to keep you safe and your candle burning beautifully.

      • When you get your new Joanne Duke candle, always let it burn for at least 2 hours, to ensure that the wax melts evenly and to the edge to prevent tunneling

      • Always put your candles on a heat-resistant surface.

      • Position your candle away from curtains or other fabrics – or furniture.

      • Keep your aromatherapy candle away from draughts.

      • Don’t put your Joanne Duke candle under a shelf. A lot of heat is generated above a burning candle. Please make sure there are at least three feet between a candle and any surface above it

      • Keep clothes and hair away.

      • Candles should be out of reach of children and pets

      • Don’t place candles too close to each other. Leave at least four inches between the two candles

      • Do not move a burning candle, please extinguish it before moving them.

      • Don’t leave them burning for more than 4 hours.

      • Extinguish candles before you leave a room.

      • Never go to sleep with a candle still burning.

      • Never leave a burning candle in a child’s bedroom

      • Use a snuffer or a spoon to extinguish your candle, this is the safest way.

      • Make sure they are extinguished, a smoldering candle could start a fire. Check and double-check.

    Enjoy your Joanne Duke candle.
